Dio and I just reached level 30 in Guild Wars 2. We’ve been doing all of the starting areas first which might be a slower way to level but we’re getting the gathering mats needed to level our professions. I’m doing cooking and jewel crafting. It really pays to do the discoveries as you level so you don’t miss out on the experience from learning them.
Additionally, the pattern system for crafting is really convenient. If you find a pattern that is beyond your skill or even a profession you don’t have active, you can still learn it for later. I passed up a few influence patterns before I realized this but going forward I won’t have to hunt down patterns I’ve seen before as I can just buy them and learn them as I bump into them.
I am going to officially close the Warhammer: Age of Reckoning chapter of Doors of Night. I have not felt like playing WAR since the mass exodus was caused by those few childish and self-serving members. Since none of the remaining officers wanted to take over lead, I kept it open until all of the remaining members were able to find an active guild to join up with. It now seems like the last of the members have found a new guild so I have canceled my account and have closed down the Warhammer member forums. I wish those of you who stayed the best and hope that your new guilds treat you well. Feel free to continue to stay in touch through the Doors of Night website and the general forums.
Free transfers opened up off of Kragg so we moved to Monolith. Kragg was becoming a ghost town so we jumped ship. The sc ques are better, there is more world RvR, and we have been enjoying an exp/renown bonus. You can now find Philomela and Doors of Night on Monolith-Destruction in Warhammer.
After posting the reveal on the Doors of Night Warhammer heraldry in the forums, I thought it might be nice to look back on previous heraldry chosen in other games. While the games have changed and with it the styles, Doors of Night has kept with the Black/White/Grey colors. From left to right we have the heraldry from Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, and Warhammer.
Diomedes pointed out that the Guild Beta Application for Warhammer went up yesterday and I had not yet filled in our application so I took care of that today. Hopefully we will get an invite. It has been awhile since I have participated in PvP and I miss it. WoW PvP was always lacking. I also look forward to getting back into MMOs. Neverwinter Nights 2 has been a nice change of pace since work and my personal life have been really hectic lately but I am eagerly awaiting a new good MMO. Plus we have almost completed NWN2. I will work on a NWN2 review when we finish playing through it.
