URL Longifyers
Lately, there’s been some buzz on URL shorteners and the disadvantages of using them. Sites like TinyURL provide convenient ways to shorten bulky links (think links from eBay or customized Google Maps with 8 stops), which are handy when you need to squeeze a message under the Twitter cap of 140 characters. Personally, I think it’s bad form to send people to unknown links, but have occasionally used shorteners to get around message length maximums.
